Clarkson's Farm

Post by jasn »

My wife and I are midway through the fourth and latest season of the Brit TV series Clarkson's Farm. It's a hoot and also enlightening.
We were turned on to this show earlier this year by some friends. Sitting down to watch it with no knowledge I was stunned to see it stars the notorious and infamous Brit Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear...a show I never watched but over the years I was under the impression that Clarkson can be a real asshole. After being fired from Top Gear Clarkson took his millions and bought a 1000 acre farm in the english area know as the Cotswolds which is steeped in old british culture and style.

Clarkson is a total nube at farming, but he still has a great love for big motors and machines, so the show can be laugh-out-loud funny. They also introduce a young, local farmhand named Kaleb that is remarkably knowledgable and hilariously naive at the same time. Several other regulars make this a fun watch.

As an added bonus and at the same time, the show does a very good job educatong the viewer with just how fucking difficult it is to be a farmer, both in effort and with its emotional and financial challenges.

Highly recommended. Watch it on Amazon Prime.

My wife and I watch this and we both really like it.

You have to like Clarkson and his humor. As a huge Top Gear (and Grand Tour) fan, that part was easy. If you don't like him, the show won't be your cup of tea, I would expect. But if it is, it's pretty damn funny.
